Arriving Late
We don't mind you occasionally coming into the Yoga class late if it means that you would have to miss it otherwise, however, please wait until after opening savasana.
We would appreciate it if you could let us know before commencement of the class by telephone so that we can ensure that if the reception is not manned the relevant doors will be open for you.
If people are relaxing when you enter the studio please remove your shoes and leave them outside before entering and please respect other people who are using the room. Try not to walk across peoples mats (especially with your shoes on) and walk about quietly closing the toilet door with care so that it does not bang etc.

The current yoga styles on offer at the Mind and Body Centre are Hatha, Dru and Yin but please note that we try to offer yoga that appeals to your needs - so please feel free to ring and ask if we can help you specifically - if we can't we will always endeavour to suggest where you can find what you are looking for.
*A new Beginners One Hour Hatha Yoga Class will be starting once we have sufficient numbers at 6pm on Wednesdays for 10 weeks only (this is not fixed so ask if you are interested in a beginners class but on another night) - this class would be ideal for those who want a gentle approach and/or are reluctant to attend a group with experienced practitioners. Cost of Yoga Classes: £40 for 10 wks payable in advance - this block payment runs for 12 weeks allowing 2 misses - should you be unable to attend some of those weeks you can get credits to attend other classes. Please register your name now. £5 drop in for some classes - please ask.
**Yin Yoga is a great complementary style for those already practicing yoga - it allows the soft tissue in and around muscles and in joints including the spine to gently stretch for longer to aid comfort and flexibility. It is also a very calming and relaxing style. There are variations in pose so suits all anatomies - yin is evolving so no longer just a complementary style it is becoming a style in its own right. The pm group is new and small so new members especially welcome!
No need to bring your own mats and blankets (you can if you prefer) - we have mats, blankets and pillows.

Themed Yoga Classes - the centre is also prepared to offer yoga to groups for back pain & strengthening, weight loss or stress relief - also ask about yoga for golfers, runners, cyclists, swimmers and cricketers - a number of sports can lead to physical imbalance because of the repetative movements involved. Yoga can help restore this imbalance. Club visits can be arranged for sufficient numbers.
